Ranch Hand

Duties may include: Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies; break ice dams in watering systems to ensure watering systems don't get backed up or malfunction. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals. Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Maintain growth, feeding, production, and cost records & other related Ranch Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
