MISSION The Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center exists to support the ministry of the Salvation Army by providing the opportunity to experience Christ through focused programs in a natural, safe, camp conference environment. OUTCOMES Maintain the grounds so they are in clean and attractive condition. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform physically demanding work on a regular basis including working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Mow, trim, and maintain landscaping and grounds, including trash pick-ups, clearing brush and performing other general groundskeeping duties. Prepare firewood and campfire sites as necessary. Maintain all roads, sidewalks, trails, and outdoor surfaces. Remove snow and ice from designated areas and apply de-icing materials proactively and as needed. Operate, inspect, and maintain groundskeeping equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner, reporting maintenance needs or equipment concerns promptly. Assist with seasonal projects, event preparation, facility improvements, and other camp projects as assigned. Provide support to other departments as operational needs require, including assisting with maintenance, housekeeping during high volume turnover days, program support, event set-up and other camp operations.
