Salary Range: $126,000 - $176,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across the Gladwin area seeking Controllers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Usual Responsibilities

• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll staff.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
• Report financial results to ownership or executive leadership.
• Oversee the monthly close and prepare financial statements.
• Manage cost accounting and inventory valuation.
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Seven or more years of accounting experience in manufacturing.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Strong cost accounting and standard costing knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
• Proven record supervising an accounting team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
• Multi-site or multi-entity consolidation experience.
• Familiarity with transfer pricing or intercompany accounting.
• MBA or advanced finance degree.
