Shift Leader / Assistant Manager

About the Position

Are you a hands-on leader who enjoys working with people, delivering outstanding customer service, and keeping operations running smoothly? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Site Manager / Shift Leader to help lead our car wash team!

In this role, you will work closely with the Site Manager to oversee daily operations, motivate and develop employees, maintain a clean and safe facility, and ensure every customer has a positive experience. When the Site Manager is off duty, you will take the lead in managing the overall operation of the site and ensuring business goals and company standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support team members to deliver excellent customer service and a positive customer experience

• Oversee daily operations and assume responsibility for running the site in the absence of the Site Manager

• Supervise, train, and develop Customer Service Associates while providing direction and addressing performance concerns

• Ensure employees follow company procedures, operational standards, and safety guidelines

• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs

• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures and ensure the facility is operating efficiently

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility, including interior and exterior areas, landscaping, and seasonal snow and ice removal

• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction

• Support the achievement of operational and financial goals established by ownership and management

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What We're Looking For

• At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or a similar service-oriented environment

• Previous car wash experience is a plus

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and operate car wash equipment and machinery

• Basic computer proficiency

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Schedule Requirements

This position requires a flexible schedule, including the ability to work opening and closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and other high-volume periods as needed.
