Our centers are focused on developing Little Learners from infancy through preschool. We believe early education should be joyful, engaging, and full of opportunities to learn, play, and grow. We also believe our teachers deserve an environment where they feel valued, supported, and excited to come to work each day.
If you have a genuine passion for infant care, a strong understanding of early childhood development, and the ability to lead with patience and enthusiasm, we'd love to meet you!
What We Offer:
- Consistent Monday–Friday Schedule: Enjoy a predictable workweek with no weekend shifts.
- Competitive Compensation: We value our educators and offer competitive pay and performance-based incentives.
- Benefits: Access to available healthcare and additional employee benefits.
- Childcare Discounts: Enjoy discounted childcare for eligible employees.
- Professional Development: Ongoing training, educational resources, and opportunities to continue growing in your career.
- Career Advancement: Opportunities to grow into additional leadership roles within our organization.
- Supportive Work Environment: Work alongside a team that values collaboration, communication, and quality early childhood education.
- Uniforms Provided: Look and feel your best while representing our center!
What You'll Do as Our Infant Lead Teacher:
As the lead teacher, you will take an active role in the daily operation of your infant classroom while providing exceptional care and early learning experiences.
- Lead Your Classroom: Oversee the daily routines, activities, and overall learning environment of the infant classroom.
- Support Infant Development: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, language development, motor skills, and early learning.
- Provide Individualized Care: Understand and respond to each infant's individual feeding, sleeping, diapering, and developmental needs.
- Create a Safe Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and nurturing classroom while following all health, safety, and childcare licensing requirements.
- Build Family Relationships: Establish positive relationships with families through consistent communication, daily updates, and sharing important developmental milestones.
- Maintain Documentation: Complete daily reports, classroom records, developmental observations, and other required documentation.
- Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with classroom assistants and fellow educators to maintain consistent routines, classroom expectations, and quality care.
- Make Every Moment Count: Create a warm, loving environment where infants feel secure, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Lead Teacher in a licensed childcare center preferred.
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
- Infant Experience: Previous experience working with infants in a group childcare setting strongly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to take initiative, organize classroom routines, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with other educators.
- Knowledge of Development: Understanding of infant developmental milestones, age-appropriate activities, and responsive caregiving practices.
- Dependability: A reliable, professional, and positive attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Licensing Requirements: Ability to meet all applicable New Jersey childcare licensing, background check, and employment requirements.
