Toddler Teacher - Early Childhood Education Location: The Learning Experience - Newark, DE Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Newark is hiring a caring, energetic Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team!

Toddlers are full of curiosity, big emotions, and exciting milestones. We're looking for a teacher who enjoys guiding their growing independence, encouraging language development, and creating a classroom where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

TECE 1 and TECE 2 are required for this position.

What You'll Do

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging Toddler classroom
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum through age-appropriate activities
• Encourage language development, independence, and positive social interactions
• Plan hands-on learning experiences through art, music, movement, and sensory play
• Support meals, diapering, toilet training, rest time, and daily transitions
• Establish consistent routines and use positive guidance to support toddler behavior
• Observe developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and fellow teachers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Follow Delaware childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• TECE 1 and TECE 2 required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education experience preferred
• Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
• Understanding of toddler development, classroom routines, and positive behavior guidance
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and enthusiastic about working with young children
• Must meet applicable Delaware childcare licensing requirements
