The Learning Experience – Middletown, NY Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Love Inspiring Young Minds? Come Grow With Us!

Are you a passionate, creative, and enthusiastic early childhood educator who loves helping children learn, explore, and discover what they're capable of?

The Learning Experience of Middletown is looking for an amazing Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team!

The preschool years are filled with incredible growth, exciting discoveries, new friendships, and important milestones. From recognizing their first letters and numbers to developing independence, confidence, and problem-solving skills, preschoolers are building the foundation for their future education!

We're looking for someone who understands that preschool is about so much more than ABCs and 123s. It's about sparking curiosity, encouraging creativity, building confidence, and helping children develop a genuine love of learning.

If you love bringing learning to life through hands-on activities, celebrating those exciting "I did it!" moments, and preparing children for their next big adventure, this might be the perfect classroom for you!

What You'll Do

As our Lead Preschool Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to create a classroom where children feel encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, build friendships, and grow into confident, independent learners!

• Bring learning to life! Plan and lead engaging activities including early literacy, math, science, art, sensory exploration, dramatic play, music, and hands-on learning experiences.

• Build strong foundations! Introduce and reinforce important academic concepts while developing the skills children need for kindergarten and beyond.

• Encourage curiosity and creativity! Create meaningful learning opportunities that inspire children to explore, ask questions, problem-solve, and think independently.

• Celebrate every milestone! Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development while recognizing individual accomplishments.

• Foster independence and confidence! Help children develop important school-readiness skills such as following routines, communicating their needs, participating in group activities, and working cooperatively with others.

• Create a classroom that inspires! Maintain a warm, organized, welcoming, and engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

• Guide growing personalities! Encourage positive behaviors, friendships, emotional regulation, and problem-solving through developmentally appropriate guidance.

• Support every learner! Observe and document children's progress, recognize individual developmental needs, and adapt teaching strategies to help every child succeed.

• Build meaningful relationships! Communicate with families about their child's progress, accomplishments, and classroom experiences.

• Lead with confidence! Work collaboratively with Assistant Teachers, fellow educators, and school leadership to create a positive and productive learning environment.

• Keep little learners safe! Maintain active supervision, follow health and safety procedures, and ensure compliance with all applicable childcare regulations.

• Be part of our school community! Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, training, and school events.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for an educator who brings creativity, patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for early childhood education into the classroom every day!

Candidates must meet at least one of the following educational requirements:

  • Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate Credential)
  • Currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education

Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood classroom is strongly preferred.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for early childhood education and preparing children for future academic success.
  • Is warm, nurturing, creative, dependable, and enthusiastic.
  • Enjoys planning engaging activities and making learning fun.
  • Has strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Takes initiative and feels confident leading a classroom.
  • Understands the importance of balancing structured learning with play-based exploration.
  • Recognizes that every child learns and develops at their own pace.
  • Values teamwork and building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Is excited to continue learning and growing as an early childhood educator.

Why Join The Learning Experience?

At The Learning Experience, we believe that great teachers do more than prepare children for their next classroom - they help prepare them for a lifetime of learning!

We want our educators to feel supported, inspired, and excited about the important work they do each day.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Lead your own preschool classroom and bring your creativity, personality, and teaching ideas to life.

  • Work with an established early childhood curriculum and engaging educational resources.
  • Be part of a supportive and collaborative teaching team.
  • Develop your leadership skills and grow professionally.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families.
  • Play an important role in preparing children for kindergarten and future educational success.
  • Experience the rewarding moments that come with watching children discover, accomplish, and master new skills!
