About the Opportunity

Do you have previous childcare experience and love helping young children learn, play, and grow?

The Learning Experience - Manassas City is hiring an experienced Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms and help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children.

We're looking for a dependable, caring educator who enjoys working with young children, supporting Lead Teachers, and making a positive difference in children's daily experiences.

What You'll Do

• Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities, routines, and transitions
• Support implementation of The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Engage children through stories, music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Support meals, rest time, toileting, and daily care routines as appropriate
• Use positive guidance to encourage independence and appropriate behavior
• Maintain active supervision and required classroom ratios
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers
• Follow Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience supporting classroom routines and supervising young children
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must meet applicable Virginia childcare licensing, background screening, and regulatory requirements
