Contract Details: This is an initial one-year contract opportunity. Strong performers may be encouraged to apply for full-time positions as they become available. If a full-time opportunity is not immediately available, there may be an opportunity to extend the contract while awaiting an opening.

Our company partner is seeking a Software Quality Engineer with strong test automation experience and prior hands-on experience applying AI-assisted testing practices. In this role, you will help validate global eCommerce experiences and retail associate tools while working with both our established Selenium-based automation framework and our next-generation AI-enabled testing platform. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, designers, and fellow Quality Engineers to design reliable, maintainable, risk-based tests that protect the customer experience at scale. If you are a strong Quality Engineer who has already used AI to improve test design, automation, exploratory testing, or diagnostics, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of quality engineering in a global commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute, maintain, and improve automated test suites using the existing Selenium-based framework and the emerging AI-enabled testing platform.

• Write and maintain clear, reusable automated tests using Gherkin feature files, BDD practices, and step definitions implemented in C# and JavaScript.

• Apply AI-assisted testing techniques to improve test design, identify edge cases, support exploratory testing, and prioritize risk areas.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to translate business requirements into maintainable test scenarios that reflect real-world customer and associate behavior.

• Validate omni-channel workflows such as BOPIS, BORIS, Endless Aisle, and Membership across eCommerce and in-store systems.

• Analyze defects, investigate root causes, and contribute to release readiness decisions by clearly communicating quality risks, test results, and open issues.

• Participate in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement efforts within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.

• Coordinate with Quality Engineers across approximately 15 scrum teams to promote consistent test coverage, shared standards, and effective quality practices across eCommerce and retail platforms.

• Serve as an AI testing advocate by evaluating practical AI tools and techniques that improve test design, automation maintainability, diagnostics, and exploratory testing effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation, preferably within agile product teams.

• Hands-on experience applying AI-assisted testing tools or techniques to test design, automation, exploratory testing, diagnostics, or test maintenance.

• Proficiency in C# and/or JavaScript for writing and maintaining automated tests.

• Experience with Selenium, Gherkin, and BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow or Cucumber.

• Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for web applications.

• Ability to analyze defects, communicate quality risks, and support release readiness decisions.

• Ability to collaborate across multiple scrum teams and domains within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.

• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, quality-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants to accelerate test development and improve maintainability.

• Experience testing omni-channel retail or eCommerce workflows, including customer-facing and store-associate-facing systems.

• Experience helping teams adopt new testing practices, tools, or automation standards across multiple product teams.
