About Us
The Just One Project's mission is to increase access to food, resources, and supportive services to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community. The Just One Project has a culture of attracting the most passionate and talented people to represent The Just One Project by reinforcing strong values, work life balance, and diversity. We know that our company culture ultimately affects client experience. Every program is designed with our clients in mind; we are "client-centric."
Everything we do is guided by our core values: Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Compassion, and by our Gold Standard of service. We believe every person who walks through our doors deserves to be treated with the same care, dignity, and respect as you'd want for your own family, whether they're picking up groceries or asking for help with something much harder. We're looking for someone who doesn't just agree with these values, but lives them out in how they treat every neighbor they serve.
About the Role
Great relationships create lasting impact. Help us build both.
As a Development Officer, you'll connect people, partnerships, and resources to meaningful community impact. You'll cultivate donor relationships, identify fundraising opportunities, and coordinate development initiatives that strengthen The Just One Project's mission. From engaging community partners to managing assigned projects and donor relationships, you'll play an important role in building lasting support for our organization.
We're looking for an experienced, relationship driven professional who brings fundraising knowledge, exceptional communication skills, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism to every interaction.
The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours for fundraising events and up to six Saturday Pop Up & Give food distribution events annually.
What You'll Do
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, prospective supporters, corporate sponsors, and community partners
- Support fundraising campaigns, donor solicitation, sponsorships, and development initiatives that contribute to organizational revenue goals
- Identify and research prospective donors, funding opportunities, and potential partnerships

- Prepare donor briefings, fundraising proposals, sponsorship materials, and other development communications
- Maintain accurate donor records, contributions, communications, and fundraising activities in Neon CRM
- Monitor fundraising opportunities, donor engagement, and pipeline activity while preparing reports and tracking progress
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and special projects
- Collaborate with executive leadership and internal departments to support fundraising priorities and development activities
- Represent The Just One Project with professionalism and discretion when engaging with donors, corporate executives, community leaders, and external stakeholders
- Manage assigned development responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining accurate documentation and timely follow through
- Represent The Just One Project at fundraising and community events, including up to 6 Saturday Pop Up & Give events annually
What You Bring

- Experience using Neon CRM for donor management, fundraising tracking, and reporting
- Demonstrated experience in donor cultivation, relationship management, fundraising outreach, and development activities
- Strong understanding of fundraising practices, donor stewardship, and the development process
- A high level of professionalism, executive presence, discretion, and sound judgment when communicating with major donors, corporate executives, community leaders, and other high profile stakeholders
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional correspondence, proposals, and presentations
- Ability to build trust, maintain relationships, and represent the organization with credibility, confidence, and integrity
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to independently manage assigned responsibilities and competing priorities
