Position Details
- Position: PRN Cook
- Employment Status: PRN (As Needed)
- Shift Hours: 5:00 AM – 5:45 PM
- Schedule: Rotating Schedule
- Location: Erwin, Tennessee
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious, quality meals according to established menus and resident dietary needs.
- Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and food preparation standards.
- Accommodate special diets, food preferences, and texture modifications as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
- Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout preparation and service.
- Assist with food inventory, proper storage, and supply rotation.
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to ensure timely meal service.
- Help create a positive dining experience for residents.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in healthcare, long-term care, food service, or a restaurant setting preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing quality service.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
