Position: 7th Grade Science Teacher
Qualifications:
- CT 034 General Science Certification - Grades 4-12 required
- Knowledge of NGSS preferred
- Teaching experience in both MS and HS beneficial

- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- High level of personal organization and planning.
- Maturity, humility, strong work ethic, follow-through, sense of humor, and strong sense to collaborate with the middle school grade level team and English department.
- Mastery of and enthusiasm for subject matter.
- Willingness to teach new course offerings and aid in the development of 7-12 offerings for the school.
The Gilbert School is a progressive, educational community for grades 7-12 with a growing international boarding program. We are hiring a dynamic, energetic, compassionate and technologically-aware middle school English Teacher. The ideal candidate would be well-rounded academically and be able to formulate strong relationships with students, parents, and the educational community. A strong background in reading and writing instruction and the ability to teach students of all levels is ideal. Located in the beautiful northwest corner, The Gilbert School is a semi-private academy and all teachers are members of the CEA and CT Teachers' Retirement program.
