JOB SCOPE:

• Create and maintain detailed operational processes for parts, sub-assemblies, and engine build ensuring that mistake proofing techniques are incorporated into these processes.
• Utilization of CAD systems for the design, detail, and checking of simple to intermediate level jigs, fixtures, gauges, tools, and simple machines.
• Creation and maintenance of simple to intermediate level CNC programs for multiple axis machine tools including writing, editing, troubleshooting, and correcting tooling/programming problems.
• Tool designer owns process and program until proven out.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner.
• Perform assigned work to specific quality and production standards.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a clean professional condition.
• Prepare or maintain all documentation necessary for the job classification.
• Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree or two-year certificate program in Tool Technology, Automated Manufacturing, CAM/CNC Programming or equivalent. Previous education or job experience may allow waiver of educational requirements.
• One-year experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with computers and various types of software including Microsoft office Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret simple to intermediate level blue prints.
• Ability to articulate in both written and spoken communication.
