Job Summary Keep a global enterprise connected - and build what’s next. As a Network Engineer at Textron, you’ll solve complex connectivity challenges, deliver network improvements, and help keep services reliable and secure. Your work will span routing, switching, wireless, voice, security, and cloud connectivity. You’ll collaborate with IT and business teams, bring ideas for smarter ways of working, and grow your skills alongside experienced network professionals. What You'll Do

  • Build, operate, and improve enterprise networks, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, and voice services.
  • Connect on-premises infrastructure securely to cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), supporting routing and integration.
  • Move network improvements from plan to production through upgrades, deployments, migrations, and modernization projects.
  • Find smarter ways to work by automating network operations and simplifying processes.
  • Use performance and capacity trends to spot issues early and improve network availability and reliability.
  • Take ownership of complex incidents across routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, wireless, VPNs, and network security - and drive them to resolution.
  • Work with IT security teams to put secure access, network segmentation, and firewall policies into practice.
  • Work closely with service providers, vendors, and internal IT teams to keep network services running reliably.
  • Review network changes and apply enterprise standards that support security, architecture, and change-management requirements.
  • Translate business connectivity needs into practical network solutions, providing technical guidance throughout each project.
  • Keep network diagrams, technical standards, procedures, and support documentation clear and up to date.
  • Share in the on-call rotation and lead service restoration when critical network incidents occur.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise networks in a production environment.
  • A strong working understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, DNS, DHCP, wireless networking, and VPNs.
  • Hands-on experience securing networks with firewalls, access controls, segmentation, and secure connectivity.
  • Confidence troubleshooting complex network incidents independently and seeing them through to resolution.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • The ability to balance priorities, coordinate changes, and work collaboratively across IT and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNA certification; CCNP or another advanced networking certification is a plus.
  • Experience administering enterprise voice and telephony services, including Microsoft Teams Voice.
  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise networks and delivering infrastructure projects or migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, enterprise firewalls, network monitoring platforms, and ServiceNow.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, hybrid connectivity, or cloud networking services.
  • Experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools to automate network operations and reporting.
