Original job description

Change the world. Love your job.

Test and Product engineers work on a product family or category and ensure that those devices are meeting specifications and quality targets as defined in our data sheets. They spend a good amount of time in the lab designing test hardware using software tools like cadence and building test programs on an ATE simulator, or troubleshooting – the test hardware, programs or the device.

In addition, they own the device's lifecycle after it was released to the market, meaning they work with design, ATD (process technology), manufacturing, quality, reliability, and marketing teams to further optimize the manufacturing flow of a given device, targeting to reduce cost or otherwise improve the overall long-term development and profit profile of the device post-release.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree.
  • 4 years of relevant testing experience
  • ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle (ETS88, ETS364, ETS800) or equivalent analog ATE (V93K, J750HD, VLCT, IMPACT, HSM, etc.), although Eagle experience is preferred and is a differentiator.
  • Production and qualification test program and hardware development experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices and circuits, and Analog test techniques.
  • Data analysis skills using Spotfire, Mbayse or equivalent tool based on STDF.
  • Experienced with various lab equipment such as scopes, power supplies, source measurement unit, loads etc.
  • Experienced with product engineering activities such as manufacturing sites offload, product qualification, reliability hardware design, yield improvement and test time reduction.
  • Experienced with customer return analysis and test coverage improvements activities.
  • Experienced with device setup and release, new package releases.
  • Strong understanding of the IC product development process, from concept to volume production.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Mixed signal test techniques and experience with developing mixed-signal tests on TI roadmap testers.
  • Experienced with test program and hardware offload to TI offshore manufacturing sites.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting in C++, Python, C#.
  • Solid understanding of JEDEC and AEC qualification test requirements.
  • Ability to drive qualification needs discussion with QRE and optimize qualification requirements for product qualifications.
  • Experienced with various TI tools and applications like REX, ATSS, ChangeLink, Galileo, TSM, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions and regions.
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively with the global manufacturing facilities to address customer specific product quality, yield management and cost reductions issues on RTM’d products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.
