Software Applications Engineer, Factory Software (Multiple positions), Tesla, Inc., Buffalo, NY: Support the operational health of the systems that manufacture the cars, superchargers, and energy storage. Understand and own the end-to-end integration of MES and ERP applications. Work directly with software developers and users on the production floor to understand issues and provide solutions in real-time. Work through tickets received from Factory Software users across all North American factories and warehouses. Create workarounds for issues that require immediate solutions if a permanent one is not immediately available. Document troubleshooting guides and provide training to users so that they are empowered to resolve issues on their own. Setup automation and monitoring systems to optimize utilization of factory software. Work as an incident commander of production critical calls that require coordination between cross-functional teams. This position involves working a 4 day/10 hour shift schedule, including the potential for night shifts.Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, $131,000.00 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Analytics, or a related field and 3 years of related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Masters degree in Engineering, Analytics, or a related field and 1 year of related work experience. Must have 1 year of experience in support engineering. Must have 1 year of experience with SQL. Must have 1 year of experience with either Python or Go or C# software development language. Must have 1 year of experience with integrated systems and their dependencies. Requires domestic travel up to 5%, in order to visit other factories.
