Original job description

Are you looking for a Challenge? Looking for an innovative organization and the opportunity to learn and grow professionally? We can help! We are seeking a Geospatial-Targeting Instructor (1N8X1) to support the U.S. Air Force 315th Training Squadron (315 TRS) Intelligence Training Instructors contract at Goodfellow Air Force Base, TX. This project will provide eight (8) specialized contract instructors to teach and update curriculum across three AFSC-awarding intelligence pipelines (All-Source Intelligence, Geospatial-Imagery Analysis, and Geospatial-Targeting), working right alongside the existing 315 TRS instructor cadre. This is a full-time, on-site position at Goodfellow AFB, TX, working Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. local time, excluding Federal holidays. Hours may shift with training schedules, and the campus occasionally runs two shifts to meet student loads. I’ve never heard of Terrestris. What do you do? At Terrestris, we leverage technology to create better mission outcomes through better human performance. We form strong client and team relationships through transparency and strive to create an environment where our team can let their excellence shine through. By finding, developing, and incorporating new ideas, we provide memorable services. Rooted in the USMC values of honor, courage, and commitment, Terrestris seeks to deliver extraordinary value to the American people by helping the Government become more efficient and effective. So, what will the Geospatial-Targeting Instructor (1N8X1) at Terrestris do? The Geospatial-Targeting Instructor (1N8X1) will be the contract instructor for the AFSC-awarding Geospatial-Targeting Course within the 17th Training Group at Goodfellow AFB. You’ll deliver instruction from Government-approved lesson plans, keep course materials sharp and current, and help shape the next generation of Air Force targeting analysts. As an instructor in an AFSC-awarding course, you’ll also serve as Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) faculty. The anticipated start date is June 2027. This position is contingent upon contract award. What does a typical day look like for a Geospatial-Targeting Instructor (1N8X1)?

You will:

· Teach the 1N8X1 course using Government-approved lesson plans, covering targeting and the targeting cycle, battle damage assessment (BDA), collateral damage estimation (CDE), and target coordinate mensuration; · Instruct students in intelligence fundamentals, intelligence briefings, ISR, information operations, mission planning, information warfare and non-kinetics, and collection and collection management; · Teach critical analytical thinking and structured analytic processes, the joint environment at all operational levels, and intelligence reports, and support the Integrated Intelligence Field Training Exercise (FTX); · Update lesson plans, student instructional materials, and presentations as directed by the COR and 315 TRS leadership; · Provide Special Individualized Assistance (SIA) to students who need extra help and record student actions in the AETC Learning Management System (LMS) within 24 hours; and · Complete and maintain instructor qualifications IAW AETCI 36-2651 and CCAF policy, holding at least a “Satisfactory” rating on AETC Form 281, Instructor Evaluation Checklist. What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:

· U.S. citizenship. · An active TS/SCI clearance at the start of employment. · An Associate’s degree from an accredited postsecondary institution or equivalent sister-service education (preferably in targeting, intelligence, or the 1N8X1 discipline). · At least five (5) years of experience in the 1N8X1 AFSC or an equivalent targeting and intelligence discipline. · Graduation from the Basic Instructor Course or equivalent. · Graduation from an AETC AFSC-awarding course for 14N or 1NX, sister-service equivalent, or NGA equivalent. · The ability to complete and maintain teaching qualifications under applicable Air Force, CCAF, and local policies.

We will be extra impressed if you have:

· Prior experience as an instructor in an AETC technical training or other formal military training environment. · Current or prior CDE and/or target coordinate mensuration certification. · Instructor or teaching-related professional certifications, such as a CCAF Instructor Certification. What kind of benefits does Terrestris Offer? We offer outstanding benefits including health, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work-life programs. Our award programs acknowledge employees for exceptional performance and superior demonstration of our service standards. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in our benefit programs. Other offerings may be provided for employees not within this category. Terrestris is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
