Systems Manager

Description

The Genetec Video System Manager will serve as the single point of contact for the Chicago Housing Authority Camera Infrastructure Program, managing a 7000 plus camera system with a primary goal of achieving 96 percent overall camera uptime. Responsibilities include managing a team of onsite and remote technicians, warranty and software support personnel, overseeing service delivery management, conducting quarterly operational reviews with CHA stakeholders and MSI, coordinating network event monitoring, dispatch services, incident notifications, and case management. Role also includes managing SLAs, change management, technical support, and maintaining a web based platform for incident access and resolution. Chicago onsite role with occasional outdoor work required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related IT field preferred. Must have proven track record maintaining large scale environments including multi server federated architectures, multi terabyte or petabyte archiver pools, and high throughput streaming. Experience negotiating and enforcing SLAs, managing warranty repair pipelines including RMA, and overseeing preventative maintenance contracts. Hands on knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS, and RAID architectures engineered for high write video surveillance throughput. Ability to translate complex technical issues and uptime metrics into clear executive reports for non technical stakeholders and client leadership. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
