Sr Software Engineer

DescriptionWe are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in MES (Manufacturing Execution System) development for a long term contract tole in Cartersville, GA. This role is onsite 5 days per week, no remote.MES Application Development Design, develop, test, and deploy MES functions to optimize manufacturing processes and improve production efficiency. Develop and maintain common MES modules and shared components that can be reused across the four factories, reducing site-specific variations. Integrate MES with enterprise and automation systems (ERP, PLCs, AMR, AGV, OHT, mobile robots) to ensure seamless data flow and process automation. Design and develop transportation logic for logistics automation. Implement requirements from MES/PI engineers and factory users, including logic changes and enhancements arising from process improvement initiatives.Technical Skills Proficiency in Java-based application development (front-end and back-end). Advanced database skills including query analysis, performance tuning, and stored procedure development (Oracle, MS-SQL). Experience with MES software (e.g., Miracom MESPlus, LG CNS EzMES, ThiraUtech OpenMES, Wonderware, Siemens SIMATIC IT, Rockwell FactoryTalk). Understanding of equipment communication protocols (SEMI standard, OPC, PLC). Experience with software engineering practices such as Git-based version control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD. Experience integrating systems through interfaces and messaging (e.g., REST APIs, middleware). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications Experience in automation or Smart Factory solutions within high-tech industries such as solar or semiconductors.Experience LevelExpert Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of White, GA.
