Security Technician

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Security Technician to support the installationand service of commercial electronic security systems. This is an excellentopportunity for a motivated technician with experience in access control, CCTV,alarm systems, and low-voltage cabling who is looking to grow their career witha company supporting commercial and industrial customers.The idealcandidate is hands-on, customer-focused, and comfortable working independentlywhile maintaining a professional appearance and delivering high-qualityinstallations and service.What You'll Do

• Install and service access control systems
• Install and troubleshoot IP-based CCTV and video surveillance systems
• Install and service burglar alarm and fire alarm systems
• Install electronic door hardware, locks, readers, and related security devices
• Pull, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project drawings
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field
• Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and service calls
• Communicate directly with customers regarding project status and service issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete work according to company standards

What You Bring

• Experience installing and servicing commercial security systems
• Experience with access control systems
• Experience with CCTV and surveillance system installations
• Experience with burglar alarm and fire alarm systems
• Knowledge of low-voltage cabling and terminations
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in commercial and industrial environments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities

• IP camera experience
• Commercial construction experience
• Access control programming experience
• Experience with electronic door hardware
• Security industry certifications
• Experience leading projects or mentoring junior technicians

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
