Security Service Technician

Job DescriptionWe are seeking anexperienced Security Service Technicianto support commercial electronic security systems throughout the region. Thisis an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled technician who enjoystroubleshooting complex issues, working directly with customers, and serving asa trusted technical resource within a growing organization.We're looking forsomeone who can work independently, solve problems in the field, and provideexceptional customer service while supporting access control, videosurveillance, and fiber infrastructure systems.What You'll Do

• Respond to customer service calls and troubleshoot system issues
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain access control systems
• Service and troubleshoot IP and analog CCTV camera systems
• Perform fiber terminations, panel work, and connectivity troubleshooting
• Investigate and resolve access control, camera, and network-related issues
• Communicate directly with customers and provide professional service support
• Document service activities, repairs, and recommendations
• Support installation projects when additional manpower is needed
• Assist and mentor junior technicians as required
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and customer standards

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience working with electronic security systems
• Strong troubleshooting and service experience
• Experience with access control platforms such as Lenel and AMAG
• Experience supporting Genetec systems
• Experience troubleshooting IP and analog camera systems
• Fiber optic installation, termination, and troubleshooting experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience diagnosing system, hardware, and connectivity issues
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Report to the office daily to pick up a company vehicle
• Local travel throughout the service territory
• Occasional travel up to approximately two hours from the office

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
