Original job description
DescriptionTEKsystems client is contracting an IT Program Manager to manage IT 2.0, the multi-year transformation of our global IT organization. This is a 12-month engagement, likely contract-to-hire, reporting to the Office of the CIO.The Program Manager is responsible for the timely and structured program plan execution by working with the IT Leadership Team as the central planning and execution point of contact: responsible for building and maintaining the integrated project plans, establishing and maintaining the KPIs and OKRs that prove progress and value, and partnering with HR (Corporate Communications) to ensure the program delivers organizational change in a structured approach that creates sustainable impacts. This is a role for a project manager who drives results, not a project coordinator who reports them. The person in this seat works with the IT Leadership Team to set the pace, removes obstacles, implements a structured cadence that ensures workstream leaders manage to timebound commitments, and escalates to the CIO and ITLT early and precisely when the program is at risk.IT 2.0 Transformation: IT 2.0 transforms how the organization's IT is staffed, structured, and skilled so the organization can deliver technology for today and future generations at a run cost flat or better than today.SkillsProgram management, Change management, Project management, Organizational change management, PMP, Strategy, Communication and leadership skills, Risk management, Organizational designTop Skills DetailsProgram management,Change management,Project management,Organizational change managementAdditional Skills & QualificationsProgram ownership and execution Build and manage the end-to-end IT 2.0 program plan: scope, sequencing, dependencies, resourcing, and critical path across all four workstreams and every region. Build, maintain, and actively drive integrated project plans with workstream leaders; hold owners to dates and deliverables and intervene when work slips. Run the program governance cadence: weekly workstream reviews, weekly steering with the CIO leadership team, monthly program reviews with CFO and CHRO, and quarterly readouts to the Executive Leadership Team when requested. Identify risks and issues before they become delays; bring options and a recommendation, not just a status. Ideal candidate is a leader that has a deep sense of ownership, grit, and resilience. Manage the program budget and track run-cost impact against the commitment that future run cost stays flat or better.Team leadership Identify and lead 2 analysts (1 offshore and 1 near-shore) who collect, validate, and report program metrics, status, issues, and risks for the program. Set their reporting standards, review their output for accuracy before it reaches leadership, and ensure a project culture of urgency, quality, and caring.KPIs, OKRs, and value tracking Establish the program OKRs with the CIO and workstream leaders, then maintain the KPI set that confirms progress, results, and value. Track and report the hard measures of the transformation: insourcing ratio, hiring and placement velocity, severance progress, labor pyramid shape by level and location, reskilling completion, and productivity gains. Build and own the single program dashboard that leadership uses; make sure the numbers are trusted and current. Communicate program metrics into business outcomes for the CIO, CFO, and HR leadership.Organizational change management and communications Partner with Corporate Communications to design and execute the IT 2.0 communication plan for IT employees, business leaders, andExperience LevelExpert Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
