Junior Low Voltage Technician

Level 1 Technician - Data Center Infrastructure Location: Lebanon, INCompany: IES Communications Position Overview IES Communications is seeking a motivated Level 1 Technician to support the installation and maintenance of low-voltage communications infrastructure within a data center environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with technical training in electrical systems, telecommunications, networking, or structured cabling who are looking to build hands-on experience in a growing industry.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and support fiber optic and copper cabling systems
• Assist with structured cabling and network infrastructure projects
• Perform equipment installation, rack mounting, cable dressing, and cable management
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Support CCTV, access control, security, and telecommunications installations
• Troubleshoot basic connectivity and cabling issues
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following all job site safety requirements
• Assist with material staging, inventory, and warehouse-related activities as needed
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction and data center environment

Qualifications

• Technical training or education in Electrical Systems, Telecommunications, Networking, or a related field preferred
• Experience with low-voltage systems, structured cabling, or telecommunications is a plus
• Basic understanding of fiber optic and copper cabling systems
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Comfortable working in construction, industrial, warehouse, or data center environments
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift equipment and work on your feet throughout the day
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required

• Structured cabling installation
• Fiber optic installation and testing
• CCTV or access control systems
