IT Field Technician

Overview

We are seeking an IT Field Technician to provide hands-on onsite support for end users across multiple locations. This role will be responsible for device deployments, hardware refresh initiatives, troubleshooting desktop technologies, and ensuring a seamless user experience through effective technical support and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop support for end users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and support laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, docking stations, mobile devices, and other endpoint technologies.
• Perform large-scale hardware deployment projects, including laptop and desktop refreshes, new hire setups, device replacements, and technology migrations.
• Image, configure, stage, and deploy new devices following established standards and deployment procedures.
• Install and configure operating systems, software applications, drivers, and security tools.
• Assist with user onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation setup and equipment collection.
• Document support activities, asset information, and issue resolutions within the ticketing system.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams to escalate complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware assets and deployment equipment.
• Travel to various locations as needed to support field services and deployment initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in desktop support, field services, endpoint deployments, or related IT support roles.
• Strong experience troubleshooting Windows-based desktops and laptops.
• Hands-on experience with device imaging, configuration, and deployment processes.
• Experience supporting hardware, peripherals, and end-user technologies in a corporate environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and common enterprise applications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to support users at all organizational levels.
• Ability to lift and transport IT equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with imaging and deployment tools such as SCCM, MDT, Autopilot, Intune, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory account administration and basic networking troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of asset management and ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Previous experience supporting enterprise hardware refresh or migration projects.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of West Palm Beach, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
