Floating Patient Registration Specialist

Patient Registration Specialist (Float) Location: Twin Cities Metro Area, MNJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentSchedule: Monday-FridayPay: $23.00/hour Position Overview We are seeking a patient-focused and customer-service-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to support multiple outpatient clinic locations throughout the Twin Cities metro area.This is a float position, meaning your assigned home clinic may vary and you will be expected to travel to different clinic locations based on staffing and operational needs. Flexibility and reliable transportation are required.The primary responsibility of this role is patient registration and check-in. You will be the first point of contact for patients and play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring demographic, insurance, and registration information is accurate.This position does not include appointment scheduling responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients upon arrival
• Collect and update patient demographic information
• Review and verify insurance cards and coverage information
• Perform insurance eligibility verification
• Ensure registration paperwork is completed accurately
• Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system
• Answer patient questions and provide excellent customer service
• Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to support daily operations

Required Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience
• Experience working in a healthcare, medical, or dental setting
• Ability to read and interpret insurance information
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Front desk or patient registration experience
• Insurance verification experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Float Coverage Locations Candidates must be comfortable traveling to any of the following locations as business needs require:

• Minneapolis
• St. Paul
• Burnsville
• Shakopee
• Buffalo
• Plymouth
• Woodbury
• Vadnais Heights
• Blaine
• Coon Rapids
• Cambridge
• Northfield

Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible travel in accordance with company policy. Schedule Clinic schedules vary by location. Typical shifts fall within:

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Occasionally, employees may remain until the final patient is checked out. Schedules are generally provided in advance and total approximately 40 hours per week. Compensation & Benefits
