Original job description

READY TO OPEN THE DOOR FOR THOUSANDS OF DENTAL OFFICES?

Teero is looking for a persistent, high-hustle Sales Development Representative to join our founding SDR team in Austin. If you love a good conversation, don't take "no" personally, and care more about having the right call than racking up the most calls, we want you on our team.

ABOUT TEERO

The $160B+ dental industry still runs on fax machines and phone tag - we're fixing that. Our staffing platform is growing fast across the country, and we're just getting started. Backed by Construct Capital, with thousands of offices and hygienists using our platform monthly, we're expanding to become the operating system for modern dental offices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll work in person, five days a week, from our Austin office as a part of our founding SDR team. For a lot of dental offices, you'll be the first conversation they ever have with Teero: you'll reach out, learn how their office actually runs, and onboard offices that genuinely need us.

We care about quality over volume. You'll make roughly 60-80 calls a day: enough to get real reps in, few enough that every call can be a real conversation. We'd rather you book one meeting with an office that has a real problem we can solve than five that go nowhere.

You won’t be starting from scratch. Our Account Executives have been running this motion for a while, so we already know what works, and we’ll train you on it from day one. Expect to get up to speed fast and be selling and closing quickly, with plenty of coaching along the way. As the team grows, we expect the SDRs who stand out to step up and help lead in Austin, and as we launch new products and expand, we plan to promote from within.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Run 60-80 outbound calls a day to dental offices across the country, backed by email follow-up
Have real conversations, not a script: learn how each office handles staffing, figure out where they're stuck, and decide honestly whether Teero can help
Get new offices signed up, onboarded, and introduced to their Territory Manager
Follow up with persistence and creativity: most offices won't say yes on the first call, and you'll find new ways to stay in front of them
Keep clean notes and pipeline data so we know what's actually working
Bring what you hear back to the team: objections, patterns, and what offices really care about, feeding straight into how we sell and what we build

WHAT YOU BRING

0-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role where you had to win people over: sales, hospitality, retail, recruiting, customer service, or similar. This can be your first SDR role
Persistence: a "no," a voicemail, or a gatekeeper doesn't slow you down, you find another way in
Serious hustle: you bring energy every single day, you're competitive, and you hold yourself to a high bar
You care about the quality of every call: you listen more than you talk, ask good questions, and know the difference between a great conversation and a call that just got counted
Coachability: you want feedback and you act on it fast
Clear, confident communication on the phone and in writing

NICE-TO-HAVES:

Some cold-calling or outbound experience, even from an internship or side gig
Experience in dental, healthcare, or selling to small businesses
A competitive background, like athletics, where you learned to put in the reps
An interest in startups and in growing into a sales career

THIS ROLE ISN'T FOR YOU IF:

You've spent years in high-volume dialer roles (think 200 dials a day) and measure a good day by how many calls you logged rather than how good they were
Rejection gets in your head and stays there
You want a fixed script and a detailed procedure for everything: this team is brand new and the playbook will evolve
You only want remote work: this role is in person at our US HQ in Austin, five days a week

WHAT WE OFFER

Become a member of our founding SDR team, with a real say in how we build the playbook from day one
Room to grow: we plan to promote from within as we launch new products and expand, including leadership opportunities on the Austin team
Competitive salary + commission + equity that could translate into life-changing value as we grow
Coaching from a sales leader who cares about call quality more than call counts, so you build habits that carry you into an AE role and beyond
Mentorship in a no-ego startup with direct access to our founders Nate & Christian
A flat, collaborative Austin office
The impact of a fast-growing startup

ABOUT THE TEAM

We're a compact, high-performing team led by co-founders Nate and Christian, former Uber executives who launched and scaled product lines globally. Both grew up in dental families and maintain deep industry connections, giving us the insights to build faster and smarter.

Our team includes early employees from Uber, Adyen, Yandex, and Google. We're operators and engineers who've built and scaled tech platforms from the ground up.

We value people who take ownership without making excuses, who constantly raise the bar, and who lead with empathy by seeing challenges through the eyes of our customers and teammates.
