Ultrasonic Technician

Position Overview A specialized energy technology company supporting offshore and renewable energy operations is seeking a certified Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Technician. The successful candidate will perform non-destructive examination (NDE) of welds, structures, and components used in demanding offshore environments, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections on welds, base materials, and fabricated components
• Execute phased array UT (PAUT) and time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) examinations as required
• Interpret and evaluate inspection results against applicable codes (AWS, ASME, API, DNV)
• Prepare detailed written inspection reports and document findings accurately
• Maintain and calibrate UT equipment per established procedures
• Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to resolve non-conformances
• Support radiographic testing (RT) and other NDE methods as needed Qualifications & Requirements
• ASNT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) required; Level III preferred
• 3+ years of UT inspection experience in oil & gas, offshore, or heavy industrial fabrication
• Proficiency with conventional UT and phased array (PAUT) equipment
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1, ASME Section V, API 1104, and/or DNV standards
• Experience with TOFD preferred
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to work offshore, at fabrication yards, or in field environments as required
• Valid TWIC card preferred or ability to obtain one
