- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
- Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports, including explanations of significant variances.
- Support accounting and reporting across multiple business entities and locations.
- Help maintain accurate records for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, liabilities, and other balance sheet accounts.

- Review cash activity and support cash management and cash flow reporting.
- Assist with payroll-related accounting and reconciliations in coordination with internal personnel and outside providers.
- Maintain organized financial records and respond to requests for information from management and other departments. Financial Analysis and Operational Support
- Analyze financial results, trends, and variances to help management understand business performance.
- Prepare and support financial analysis by location, including revenue, expenses, and operating results.
- Work with operations personnel to understand business activity and ensure that revenue and expenses are recorded accurately.
- Assist in analyzing operating costs, including transportation, facilities, equipment, and other business expenses, as applicable.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by preparing schedules and gathering financial information.
- Assist with preparing borrowing base calculations and related financial information for lenders, as needed. Audit, Review, and Tax Support
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for external audits and financial statement reviews.
- Work with outside accountants to respond to requests and help resolve outstanding accounting matters.
- Assist with gathering and organizing financial information for tax preparation and required filings across multiple entities.
- Maintain complete and accurate records to support financial reporting and compliance. Systems, Controls, and Process Improvement
- Support the transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite, including assisting with data review, reconciliations, testing, and documentation as needed.
- Help improve the accuracy and usefulness of financial reporting across entities and locations.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, documentation, and internal controls.
- Help establish clear procedures and follow through on outstanding accounting issues.
- Protect confidential financial, employee, and company information.
