Sr. Tax Supervisor / Manager

Job Title: Sr. Tax Supervisor / Manager Location: Hammonton, New Jersey Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $110,000 - $175,000 Nice benefits package! Work Model: Onsite in Hammonton, NJ (multi-office firm - ask about our other locations!)

Responsibilities:

• Fill out and check business tax forms (Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-S). This is not entry-level work. Experienced CPA needed.
• Fill out and check personal tax forms (Form 1040 and related pages).
• Help clients fix or update their financial records when needed.
• Talk with clients often about taxes, planning, and other money-related help.
• Answer client questions by phone, email, and video meetings.
• Lead and help train team members on tax and accounting work.
• Keep work on track so projects are finished on time.
• Help with letters and questions from federal and state tax offices.
• Help represent clients during tax audits and state labor audits when needed.
• Coach team members so they can learn and improve.

Requirements:

• CPA license is preferred (or working toward a CPA).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of public accounting work focused on taxes.
• Strong experience preparing and planning taxes for individuals and businesses.
• Knows QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Can use Microsoft Office.
• UltraTax experience is preferred.
• Good at staying organized and meeting deadlines.
• Good at talking with clients and working well with a team.
