Construction Safety Professional
Location: Denver, CO Pay: $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to support construction operations throughout the Denver area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, hazard prevention, regulatory compliance, and jobsite safety management. This individual will work closely with project management, field leadership, and construction crews to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent incidents and injuries.
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, documenting findings and corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, and required compliance records.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to reinforce a proactive safety culture.
- Assist with the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required.
- One of the following experience and qualification combinations:
- 3+ years of construction safety experience and a BCSP certification, or
- 5+ years of professional safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Ability to identify jobsite hazards and communicate corrective actions effectively.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
- Must be authorized and eligible to work without employer sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available.
