AWS Python Developer

Job Title: AWS Python Developer Location: Lafayette, LA Type: Permanent Full Time Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable applications on AWS.
• Build and maintain APIs and web applications within AWS cloud environments.
• Develop and implement version control and deployment best practices.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and GitLab.
• Build automation solutions and testing frameworks.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Deploy and support serverless applications leveraging AWS services.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and architectural best practices.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
• Utilize DevOps tools to build, test, deploy, and support applications.
• Provide production support and resolve application issues as needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and design documentation.
• Collaborate with product owners and development teams to define and implement new features and enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.
• 7+ years of experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
• Strong software development experience with Python and/or Java.
• Experience building APIs and web applications in AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and GitLab.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PHP, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Front-end development experience with Angular, TypeScript, or related technologies is a plus.
• Strong SQL and database experience, including DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Experience with application monitoring, tuning, and performance optimization.
• Experience deploying serverless applications and working with AWS services.
• Experience building automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.
