Job Title: Accountant Location: Cranberry Township, PA Type: Direct-Hire Compensation: 70,000.00-80,000.00 Work Model: Onsite Hours: 8AM-5PM, M-F
Responsibilities
- Oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounting information
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cost accounting, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and monthly financial statements
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close on schedule
- Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulations
- Keep and analyze accounting records and reports; review financial statements for discrepancies and irregularities
- Reconcile bank statements and produce cash flow reports
- Support audits (internal and external) by building audit schedules and answering auditor inquiries
- Prepare and file sales/use, property, and corporate income tax returns as required
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting
- Perform ad hoc accounting and finance analysis and special projects
- Enter project labor into SAP
- Take part in process improvement efforts and system implementations
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing or a similar environment
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles
- SAP Business One experience preferred (SQL and Crystal Reports a plus)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Payroll experience with ADP
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an accounting major preferred
