Job Summary

Symbiotic Services is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Pack and Ship Associate for a confidential client in the apparel industry.

The Pack and Ship Associate will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders, preparing products for shipment, inspecting packaging materials, and ensuring orders are packed securely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse or fulfillment environment.

This position reports directly to the Pack and Ship Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Packaging

• Review customer orders, invoices, and shipping documentation to identify items requiring shipment.
• Accurately assemble and prepare daily orders according to shipping destinations and order categories.
• Pack merchandise securely in appropriate shipping containers to prevent damage during transportation.
• Inspect packages and merchandise for visible damage before shipment.
• Inspect shipping containers to ensure they meet applicable shipping requirements and standards.
• Properly seal, label, and prepare shipping containers for distribution.
• Ensure all orders are accurately packed and ready for shipment.

Shipping Documentation & Quality Control

• Maintain accurate shipping records, including invoices, delivery notes, and package documentation.
• Complete packing slips, order forms, and shipping labels with the required information.
• Verify shipping details to ensure accuracy and minimize fulfillment errors.
• Conduct quality checks on packaging materials and completed orders.
• Ensure packages are properly organized and prepared for shipment.

Warehouse Organization & Team Support

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• Clean and organize shipping containers, packing materials, and related supplies.
• Support efficient daily packing and shipping operations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Follow established packing, shipping, and workplace procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 1 year of pick-and-pack, order fulfillment, shipping, or related warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an apparel distribution or shipping environment is beneficial.

• Ability to recognize and respond to audible workplace alarms.
• Ability to perform routine packaging and order fulfillment activities in a warehouse or distribution setting.
