Para Educator
Salary Range: Hourly per Swansea’s paraeducators contract
Date Needed:August 31, 2026
Qualifications Required:
Education: One of the following: Associate’s Degree or successful completion of Parapro test or National Work Keys Certification. (ParaPro test)
Experience: Experience working with school age children
Proficient with technology
Other: Knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and IEP implementation, ability to work as a team and support student with daily living skills.
Requirements
Qualifications Preferred:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field
Experience: Working with students with disabilities in individual/small group instruction. Providing accommodations and assisting with modifying assignments, experience supporting IEP implementation and supporting students working toward meeting academic and behavior IEP goals.
Other: CPR / first aid certified
