Shipping & Receiving Associate

Shipping & Receiving Associate Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour to start Location: Youngstown, OH Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are hiring a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join a manufacturing team in Youngstown, OH! This position is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility, operating a forklift, managing inventory, and preparing products for shipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. Previous forklift, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move materials and pallets throughout the facility.
• Load, unload, stack, and organize materials as needed.
• Move raw materials, including steel plates, cut parts, and other manufacturing components.
• Pick, pack, band, and prepare parts for shipment.
• Assist with shipping and receiving operations.
• Track and manage inventory moving in and out of the facility.
• Examine freight and determine appropriate loading sequences.
• Monitor surrounding activity, including forklift traffic, coworkers, and overhead cranes.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly wear required PPE.
• Report safety concerns or workplace hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Picking, packing, and material handling experience preferred.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Good organizational skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team.
• Willingness to learn company processes.
• Flexibility to work any shift as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat throughout the shift.
• Ability to climb in and out of a forklift.
• Comfortable working around moving equipment and industrial machinery.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
