Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Pay: $21.00–$25.00 per hour Location: Youngstown, OH Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are hiring a motivated and dependable Maintenance Technician to support production and maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using testing equipment, including voltmeters.
• Repair or replace defective machine components and parts.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery, engines, and mechanical equipment.
• Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment components, including pistons, valves, and pumps.
• Perform routine equipment inspections to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.
• Test machinery after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Follow maintenance work orders, instructions, and scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Report equipment issues and safety hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous maintenance or mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic to strong electrical knowledge preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Reliable with a strong sense of urgency and willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Comfortable performing hands-on mechanical work.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.

Safety Requirements

• Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
• Properly select, wear, and maintain required PPE.
• Report workplace hazards to supervisors.
• Participate in monthly safety and shop meetings.
