Laser Operator

Laser Cutter Operator Location: Ooltewah, TN Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (1st Shift) Position Overview We are seeking a dependable Laser Cutter Operator to set up and operate laser cutting equipment to produce quality parts from metal sheets, plates, and other raw materials. The ideal candidate has experience with laser cutting operations, can read blueprints, and understands machine settings, measurements, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser cutting equipment according to blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts using appropriate equipment.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate, high-quality cuts.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
• Maximize material usage while maintaining production standards and deadlines.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous laser cutting or CNC machine operating experience or training required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Basic understanding of measurements, decimals, geometry, and metric conversions.
• Experience with machine setup, adjustments, and quality inspections.
• Ability to safely lift up to 80 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100–125 lbs.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and working around manufacturing equipment.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
