Your role will focus on providing high-quality speech and language services at ML King Academy. You will work a consistent schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with eight paid hours per day, guiding students towards greater confidence and communication success. As a valued member of the school's multidisciplinary team, you will supervise and mentor an SLPA, contributing to both student outcomes and professional growth.

Skills and Experience Sought:

• Current, active Texas SLP license (from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience in school settings, particularly K-8, is a plus
• Bilingual skills are highly preferred
• Previous supervisory experience or readiness to provide oversight to an SLPA
• Strong communication, organization, and collaborative abilities
• Professional references ready for credentialing process

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy to K-8 students with speech and language needs
• Supervise, guide, and support the assigned Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with district standards
