School Counselor

School Counselor Claremont, NH Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counselor to support students in a school-based setting in Claremont, New Hampshire. This is a great opportunity for a counselor who is passionate about helping students navigate academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and personal challenges. Position Highlights

• Provide individual and small-group counseling to students
• Support students with social-emotional, behavioral, academic, and personal needs
• Assist students with developing coping skills, self-advocacy, and positive interpersonal skills
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and families
• Participate in student support meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions as appropriate
• Assist with crisis intervention and provide support during challenging situations
• Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records

Qualifications

• Masters degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
• Valid New Hampshire School Counselor credential/license or eligibility to obtain one
• School-based counseling experience preferred
• Strong understanding of student social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Compassionate, student-centered approach to counseling and support
