Make a meaningful impact as an American Sign Language educator supporting a student with a progressive hearing disorder. This contract opportunity is located in the Medford Township area and runs from now through the end of June. Youll be working on a part-time basis, 2-3 days each week, with a single student, focusing on developing and strengthening their ASL proficiency.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey ASL Teacher certification required
• Experience teaching American Sign Language, preferably in a K-12 setting
• Comfort with 1:1 instruction and adapting materials for unique learning needs
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and integrate into educational teams
• Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct ASL instruction tailored to one student with a hearing disorder
• Adapt lesson plans and communication methods to match student needs and pace
• Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Maintain communication with educators and relevant staff to align goals and support
