Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Paraprofessional certification or relevant classroom experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in resource or special education settings
• Ability to implement accommodations for students during testing and classroom activities
• Patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills when supporting students with minor behavioral needs
• Proficient at following educational plans and collaborating with teachers and other support staff

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist students directly with academic support tasks in both resource and mainstream classrooms
• Guide students to and from classrooms as needed, ensuring safety and structure
• Utilize proactive strategies such as a calm down corner to support students with behavioral needs
• Prepare and implement accommodations for testing environments, helping students demonstrate their best abilities
• Support classroom routines, reinforce positive behaviors, and encourage student engagement
