Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Illinois Paraprofessional certification required
• Previous experience in a middle school or school-based setting preferred
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, reliable, and flexible approach
• Willingness to work full-time through the end of the 2026-2027 school year

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance to one or more students under the direction of special education and classroom teachers
• Support students academic and behavioral goals in small group or one-on-one settings
• Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment
• Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed
• Assist students with classroom routines, instructional activities, and daily living skills
• Maintain open lines of communication with school staff and parents when appropriate
