Instructional Assistant - Barnegat, NJ

In this contract position, youll likely be assigned to one school, working collaboratively with educators, clinicians, and school administrators to create a positive impact in the classroom. Assignments are available immediately and continue through the end of the school year, with weekly hours ranging from 35 to 40 to accommodate various coverage needs.

What Were Seeking:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or similar school support role is preferred.
• Minimum requirement: High school diploma or GED.
• Many assignments require either 4860 college credits or an associates degree, depending on the specific job/Title I guidelines.
• Alternatively, a passing score on the ETS ParaPro Assessment can qualify you for many positions.
• Candidates must meet all relevant state and local requirements, including satisfying MA para standards and providing documentation as needed.
• Strong communication, organization, and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.

What Youll Do:

• Support teachers and special education staff in meeting individual student goals.
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and assist with instructional activities.
• Engage with students across multiple age groups, from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade and above, within specialized programs.
• Collaborate with school staff and administrators to provide optimal educational experiences.
