Instructional Aide in Lees Summit, MO

Seeking motivated professionals skilled in supporting elementary students as a paraprofessional within a dynamic school environment. Key Qualifications:

• MO Substitute Certificate or valid paraprofessional certificate required
• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with functional skills instruction and/or supporting resource room students
• Strong communication skills and positive rapport with students, staff, and families
• Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt in a collaborative team environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work one-on-one and in small groups with elementary students receiving functional skills and resource support
• Assist lead teachers with daily classroom management, activity planning, and educational interventions
• Support students academic, behavioral, and social development based on individual education plans (IEPs)
• Provide encouragement and redirection to foster growth and independence
• Communicate with special education staff regarding student progress and needs
