Instructional Aide - Evanston, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Paraprofessional (Para) certification required
• Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or similar support role (preferred but not required)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of students and educators
• Commitment to respecting confidentiality and following school protocols
• Positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for helping students succeed

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to support student learning and success
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to a shared student, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment
• Adapt materials and activities to meet individual learning needs
• Assist in implementing classroom management strategies under teacher guidance
• Help monitor student progress and communicate observations
• Encourage student independence and social interaction within the classroom
• Support daily routines and classroom activities as needed
