ICU RN - Chicago, IL

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Demonstrated experience in ICU or critical care nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and monitoring equipment
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and respond swiftly to patient needs
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical nursing practice

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and modify patient care plans
• Manage critical medications, infusions, and life-support equipment such as ventilators
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status, treatment, and progress
• Provide support, education, and reassurance to patients and their families in a compassionate manner
• Uphold safety and infection control protocols at all times
