Echo Technologist in Glen Allen, VA

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating echocardiography equipment and conducting Echo procedures
• Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and related medical terminology
• Ability to produce and interpret accurate diagnostic images
• Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent, strongly preferred
• Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control procedures within clinical environments
• Strong communication skills for clear interaction with patients and medical staff
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiographic examinations as ordered by physicians, ensuring image clarity and diagnostic value
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in accordance with facility guidelines
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to review results and support patient care plans
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and report malfunctions as needed
• Support a positive patient experience by explaining procedures and addressing concerns professionally
• Uphold patient privacy and adhere strictly to all applicable healthcare regulations
