CT Technologist | Atascadero, California

An opportunity is available for a skilled imaging professional with expertise in computed tomography (CT) to deliver high-quality diagnostic services. This contract-based role requires operating CT equipment to produce accurate cross-sectional images, aiding physicians in the diagnosis and management of various medical conditions. Additionally, responsibilities include performing general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed, ensuring comprehensive imaging support.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certification in Radiologic Technology, with advanced credentialing or validated training in CT
• Current ARRT (CT) certification or eligibility preferred
• Valid state and national radiologic technologist licensure as required
• Prior experience with CT imaging and general radiographic procedures
• Proficiency with modern imaging equipment and related technology
• Strong attention to safety, patient care, and infection control protocols
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach within a clinical setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images according to clinical protocols
• Conduct general X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures as required
• Review and verify physicians imaging orders, ensuring patient identification and procedure accuracy
• Maintain accurate patient records, equipment logs, and documentation in accordance with facility standards
• Provide clear instructions and compassionate assistance to patients before and during imaging procedures
• Monitor and manage imaging equipment maintenance and coordinate necessary repairs or calibrations
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention measures
