Classroom Assistant | Oceanside, California

This contract, onsite position supports middle and high school students (grades 612), including potential opportunities for dedicated 1:1 student assignments. Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (as required by the district)
• Experience in personal care, disability support, or working with students with special needs is preferred
• Ability to assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility
• DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance required
• TB screening per district health guidelines
• Current CPR/First Aid certification, if mandated by the district
• Willingness to complete all district-specific training and credentialing

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with personal care and daily tasks to promote comfort and participation in the classroom
• Provide 1:1 or small group assistance to students with disabilities, working collaboratively with teachers and specialists
• Monitor student well-being and maintain a safe learning environment
• Communicate observations and report on student progress to relevant school staff
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the dignity of each student in your care
