This full-time contract opportunity runs ASAP through May 21, 2027, and offers the chance to work onsite in a supportive elementary school environment, focusing on a self-contained behavior caseload. Youll collaborate closely with experienced special education staff and help create inclusive, positive learning experiences for students with unique needs.

What Youll Need to Bring:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teachers aide, or in a similar school-based role
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a compassionate approach
• Familiarity with behavioral support strategies and working with students on behavior intervention plans is a plus
• Ability to assist with classroom activities and provide individual support
• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team with other paraprofessionals and special education teachers
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere

Your Day-to-Day Impact:

• Support 8 students in a self-contained classroom alongside another paraprofessional and a special education teacher
• Assist with behavior management and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide academic, social, and emotional support throughout the school day
• Encourage positive interactions and help facilitate daily routines
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of learning materials
